BACKGROUND TO DREAMSTAR PARTIES INC/LLC

Dreamstar Parties was founded by its Founder/CEO Christina Rosalita in the spring of 2007. Since that time we have evolved into Northern California and Western Washington's Premier Children's Entertainment Company. We are a full children's party planning resource and offer our signature character service, jumpers, ponies/petting zoos, carnival rides and concessions. We are the official children's entertainment company of the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Athletics and raise money for Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland and Children's Seattle. Much of our success can be directly attributed to the amazing group of performers we have on staff that provide our signature character service to our loyal customer base of families with small children. All of our performers are employees of Dreamstar Parties, receive the most extensive training in the industry and are receive one of the most competitive wages in the industry. JOB DESCRIPTION

Our performers wow little audiences with a great selection of activities such as Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Magic, Storytelling with Puppets and much more. We provide excellent training, but a prospective performer must have:
1. Genuine enthusiasm for working with children
2. Reliability and Professionalism - A child's party is a very magical day and families place a lot of trust in us to make it a wonderful celebration to remember always!
3. Lots of Energy and the ability to have fun and be silly
4. Creativity
5. Patience

The above qualities can't be taught and they are absolutely necessary to becoming a Dreamstar Parties' Princess.

Potential Princesses MUST also have:* Your own reliable car with insurance - we perform all over so driving is necessary
* UNLIMITED availability on weekends (Sat/Sun)
* The ability to pass a criminal background check
* A one year commitmment minimum is required for this position

Strong Applicants may also have all or many of the following:
* Background in the performing arts - acting/singing/dance/cheer or leadership/public speaking roles.
* Some drawing/painting experience or natural artistic ability as prep for face painting.
* Experience formally or informally working with children

Work is steady, fun and well paid. Each princess averages 1-5 shows (2-3 on average) every weekend unless a particular weekend is approved for time off. The starting rate of pay is $40 for a 1 hr performance. Tenured/experienced performers earn $50 per 1 hour performance. We provide all costumes, equipment and training.

Competition for the party princess position is fierce. We are very selective about who joins our team. This is a great opportunity to have fun, earn extra money and create lasting memories.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. I have no performing experience- am I qualified to become a Dreasmtar Parties performer?
A. Many of our most talented performers did not have formal performing backgrounds before joining the team. If you have an outgoing personality and experience working with small children we would encourage you to apply

Q. Are these full time jobs?
A. No. Our performers average somewhere between 1-5 shows per week. There are also opportunities to occasionally perform during the work. However this type of work should not be relied upon as your sole source of income. It is an ideal way to earn a supplemental income, college job, etc.

Q. Are you hiring in all of your markets?
A. Yes!! While we are based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are aggressively growing our secondary markets of Sacramento and Seattle, WA. Regardless we always want to talk to talented performers. Feel free to send us your resume/head shot even if we don't have an active on-line job posting

Q. Do you provide training? Do you provide costumes and party supplies?
A. Yes, our performers the most extensive training in the industry- and here is the best part: training is compensated. We also provide our performers with the best costumes in the industry.
